My personal mission can easily be summarized by the following quote from George Curous, “Technology will not replace great teachers, but technology in the hands of great teachers is transformational.”

After 6 years in the middle school science classroom as a technology pioneer with M.Ed. research in Digital STEM Learning Stations, I became 1 of 50 Instructional Technology Coaches selected to pilot The Dynamic Learning Project—sponsored by Google, Digital Promise, and EdTechTeam.

Equipped with training at Google Headquarters in Mountain View, California and ongoing mentorship from leaders in the Educational Technology field, this project seeks to combat the "Digital Use Divide" in K-12 education by empowering teachers to use technology in transformative ways through 1:1 personalized coaching.

With documented success, this program has been sustained and increased participation nationwide. In June 2018, I had the opportunity to share a replicable model of coaching by speaking on a panel at ISTE 2018 in Chicago, IL.

In addition to personalized coaching, I am co-facilitator of Middle School Professional Development in Spartanburg School District One. As a Google for Education Certified Trainer, I participate in workshops, speaking engagements, and education conferences sharing innovative ways Google Apps for Education can personalize learning and increase productivity.
