Collaborative Lab Reports through Google Docs & Google Sheets
Collaboration - one of the 4 C's. We will focus on the collaboration process, but communication, creativity, and critical thinking will be an added bonus! Discuss what works in inquiry-based lab reports. Plan out templates to scaffold the lab report process. Teach your students how to create a graph in Google Sheets and insert it into their document for a clean-looking lab report. Learn how to grade lab reports efficiently. Streamline the peer review and peer evaluation process for more meaningful feedback. Geared towards science teachers, but anyone wanting to improve their collaboration using the G Suite is welcome to attend! Participants should bring a Chromebook or laptop; optional - a lab that can become collaborative.

Tricked Into Thinking
Everyday events make us wonder. Some of these events happen every day, some only once in a while. Some events can easily be investigated, some not. However, each of these events provides us the opportunity to THINK. Why do some things float and other sink? What happens when you drop a golf ball from the top of a tower? What is a Lunar Eclipse, What is a Solar Eclipse? How long do they last, how often do they occur? Using online simulations teachers and students can be Tricked into Thinking about these and other math and science events.
