Elementary school teacher
Greenville County
I attended Greenville County Schools and grew up here in Greenville. I graduated summa cum laude from Furman University in 2007 and also completed a Master's in Literacy at Furman University in 2010. I was honored to be selected as a top ten finalist for the 2014/2015 Greenville County Schools Teacher of the Year. I taught at Monaview Elementary for eight years, and this will be my eighth year teaching fifth grade at Buena Vista Elementary. I was also selected as the Elementary Virtual Program Outstanding 5th Grade Teacher of the Year in 2020/2021.

One of my core beliefs about teaching is that it is a collaborative profession, not a competitive one. I believe that teachers should collaborate with each other and with their students. I am excited about opportunities like the Upstate Technology Conference where teachers can come together in a collaborative spirit to improve our teaching and help one another.
