An Inside Look: Using Social Media to Communicate with Your School Community

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Communication with students, parents, and the community minimizes misunderstandings, builds trust, and establishes effective partnerships. Social media is a great tool to “show & tell” what is happening within the class/school. This session will identify the similarities and differences between Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and HootSuite. The presenter will share examples of how social media can impact class/school culture. Participants will choose the best platform and explore ideas for using social media in their class/school. Please register for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and HootSuite prior to attending this session. A cellphone and laptop are required.
